RESILIENT TASMANIA

A Budget Priority Submission to the Tasmanian Government on behalf of three Place-based initiatives.

This is a joint submission from the Collaborative Leadership Tables of George Town, Jordan River and Burnie and lays out the case for investment in building the capacity of communities by supporting a place-based approach. In line with the PESRAC3 final recommendations around place (March 2021), the submission supports co-designed local solutions for both:
 

  1. a short-term response through recovery
     

  2. a medium to longer-term view to build strong, innovative and impactful communities over time Strengthened community participation, connectedness and leadership would make the most of the opportunities that now present themselves.
